Algoma's Biggest Children's Derby (Fishing)

Registered contestants (children) joined us for Algoma's Biggest Children's Derby at Westview Park & the Boat Launch in Elliot Lake on Saturday July 22nd, 2023 to create the largest turnout yet for this fairly new event!    Charles Deraiche & volunteers have created this fishing derby to help put some smiles on our children's faces and it looks like it was a successful mission!   Last year's turnout was apx. 80 children while this year's was around 111 according to the scoreboard.    With such a growing turnout of both children and sponsors year over year, we can expect this to become a mainstay attraction in the years ahead for Elliot Lake.  Mark your calendars for next year!   Congratulations to everyone who participated!
